EVOLVING STRATEGIES
This week’s opportunity to evolve your strategy
Digital sales strategy of maximizing your home page
Your home page is the first thing consumers see when they come to your site. Whether they’re coming for the first time or have come multiple times to do research. A strategically placed home page will give consumers exactly the information they need to buy your products. You need to consider all aspects from the CTAs, design, copy, flow and contact info to the message you’re trying to convey and more. Always consider what you decide on to focus on the consumer and how it helps them.
How to apply this:
What you should takeaway and apply to your digital sales strategy:
Design and visuals that make it easy to read and relay info easily
Offers and what your business does
Messaging and copy
Design and visuals that make it easy to read and relay info easily
The design of your home page will have an impact on whether the consumer decides to stay or leave. Consider having white space so it’s easier to visually take in the information. Don’t over clutter, and keep it simple.
Use visuals that are relatable to the target audience. Images of people makes it easier for your audience to place themselves in that position and better associate with your brand.
Offers and what your business does
Make it easy for the consumer to know what you offer and the main focus of your business. Have this at the top of your home page, right as the customer lands on your page they see this information.
Have a headline. What does your company do?
Have a sub-headline. How you solve the problem?
Have a CTA to drive them to buy your solution (The product/service)
Messaging and copy
The copy should be concise and clear. Always edit any copy to reduce words and make it clear as possible. Remove anything that is repetitive, makes it confusing for consumers to understand and doesn’t add value to your overall message.
Focus on the following:
Is the message I want to convey clear?
Where can I reduce to keep it simple and clear?
If someone didn’t know about my business, would they understand this message?
