EVOLVING STRATEGIES
This week’s opportunity to evolve your strategy
Digital tools to run optimize your business, and give you time back in your schedule
The right tools can help grow your business and drive more sales online. Your website has the lowest operating costing than any other channel. Use this as an opportunity to automate, create systems that optimize your business and let you run more efficiently. Less manual work and give yourself more time.
Imagine: you’re working on a deadline, it’s almost the end of the day and you’re about to wrap up. Suddenly a customer reaches out and they tell you they can’t buy a product. Then a few minutes later you get 3 more customers reaching out to you, telling you the same thing.
What do you do? You have a deadline to meet, but you also have to fix this error that’s happened. It won’t let customers add products to cart. It’s tedious work that requires manual intervention, a potential vendor had reached out about running a daily scan to identify defects before they happen. But you hadn’t thought it made sense for your business at the time. Now you’re rethinking that decision.
Having the right tools and systems in place would have taken away the stress of a broken website, and a deadline to meet. You could have worked on your deadline without worrying about the site, and trying to fix it at the end of the day.
How to apply this:
What you should takeaway and apply to your digital sales strategy:
Calendly
Calendly is already integrated into my website, which allows potential customers to easily book meetings with me. They have access to your calendar and can simply find a time that works for them. They get an email after booking, and a reminder 24 hours before with all the links and information.
Less back and forth emails with consumers trying to book a time that works for both parties, and potentially losing business because the customer forgets to respond or gets busy.
Asana
Great for managing multiple projects and deadlines, everything is in one spot. Including assigning tasks if you have multiple people on a project that allow you to stay up to date with the latest project details, review creative work, presentations and more.
Stay up to date and don’t miss a deadline, you can prioritize what’s most important and based on due dates.
Buffer
One of the most tedious tasks is to find time everyday to go to your social media and post the amazing content you create. With Buffer all you have to do is schedule in when you want the post to go live and it automatically posts.
You also get a notification when it’s published or if there’s an error so you can stay on top of any issues. Posts are optimized for date and times that will generate the most impressions and engagement.
Excel
Creating templates for future work that’ll be reoccurring will allow you to easily export data into reports, presentations or anything else that you may need. I’ve created my own templates that I keep reusing, but excel also has templates you can use based on what is needed or lots of excel experts have shared templates that you can borrow for your own business. Save yourself time of recreating reports and tables by reusing what’s already working.
